    If you have a LinkedIn profile - just put a link to that on the CV. Though its been so long since I've had a CV...they're almost kind obsolete now IMHO.

    Depends on your target market. In some countries it's normal to put a photo on your cv, in others it is not.

    In some European countries it is required, and one agent in Paris looked at my cv then whipped out a camera and snapped me without a word. No photo ==> bin.

    OTOH some places don't like to see it. It's not that it seems narcissistic, it's just that it would be illegal to discriminate on the basis of anything you could tell ftom a photo.

    A picture on an IT CV sounds a bit naff to me, although it might avoid the 1 in 1000 risk of an interviewer thinking you were someone else (has been known I'm sure).

    The best way to freshen it up is to try and think of more acronyms and buzz words, IMHO.
