Must admit I had one a year back for 850 sterling a day in Stockholm, just my skill set but that rate prolly equates to £400 UK....Originally posted by MyUserName View PostWell I would rather not display the add until I know whether I can get it but it is for a quant position in a bank in London. Apparently there is, wonderfully(!), a technical test - a coding task for which you have a week and then a technical interview.
The agent said that most people he speaks to cannot be bothered with the process, which I can understand.
Obviously, there is a chance that my chain is being yanked for some reason - I have not met the client and discussed anything yet.

Well I must admit my rate is much lower than that but no matter how much I open the JS search I find nowt about 600........Originally posted by MyUserName View PostMy has faltered a little as they are slow getting me the paperwork and now I have had a call about another gig on £850 a day which has turned my head!
Not saying it's wrong but show me a JS ad (ok not a good guide) that's over 700/day? They mist be there but I did a PM search and and BA search to see and they are much the same as me - 450/500 - 650 tops....
Having said that I knew a PM on 1300 a day, that was 2006 tho...

It is true, but I dropped my rate a bit. Not much, like 5% but on top of the other 5%'s I dropped sone 2010 it's.....wait for it, calculator...Originally posted by kaiser78 View PostThere seems to be sudden flurry of boomeders of late - well done to all. Who says the market is drying up ?!

24%!!
Still, means I get my 40k a year or whatever without decreasing the war chest and also war chest is still going up (at slower rate admittedly) and not down so it's swallow pride time and keep on invoicing at albeit a lower but still profitable advantage...
And hope in the new year get the 24% back - Hurrah!!
