Nobody has had much luck with Holland because they're dutch and they beat themselves (well not entirely true, the referee beat them in 1974 and 1978, but you know what I mean).
Look at the way T&T nullified england's midfield for almost all of the game, and caused their defence problems, purely down to tactical awareness.
Erikson seems to think tactical awareness is knowing where your mint sweeties are.

Wasn't Winston, was Clarke, in his first book, but IIRC he never did come up with an attribution, so many think he made it up.

Does the panel think that Erickson should be told to **** off now and McLaren should take over immediately?
McLaren, FFS what morons employed him? Oh, yes it was the FA.
Based on what the coaches have been saying (or at least what little I've seen), it might be worth paying McLaren off now and hiring Leo Beenhaker. Imagine what he could do with that england squad given what he did with the Trinidad and Tobago boys.
