My mortgage and car will be paid off by dec this year so I am planning to go and work in the Maldives as a surfing/windsurfing instructor. Food and acomm. is free and I get paid £80 week. Quite a drop in salary, but at least I won't have to take the tube everyday!

Would be interesting to hear about some forum contributors plan B'sOriginally posted by MordacWhy is "going permie" the only alternative? What about our Plan Bs? I don't plan to stay contracting for ever, but I won't go permie <*spit*> if I can possibly help it.

... a necessary pain but it is:
* easier to protect yourself from bastard emloyers
* easier to provide for your family reliably and still have time for them
* harder but more rewarding
I just lasted ONE day in a perm job before I walked.
