Er,... ummm, of course!

Mr N and I went out for a belated anniversary dinner last night which was nice.

Toying with the idea of making some pasta, not sure what sauce yet.

Also bought (yet more) cookbooks , flavour thesaurus, cooking for geeks and utter pron of Kitchen diaries II by Nigel slater

I've got that thesaurus - must dig that out.

I used to love that and would order it a lot in Italian restaurants; but I've had to stop now they've taken to leaving the mussel shells intact.

It takes ages to winkle out all the mussels, and it's absolutely disgusting - Some of the shells even have barnacles and bits of seaweed attached.

Same here - shame, as I really used to enjoy it too.

Parkrun this morning. 3 consecutive PBs have knocked over 2 minutes off my time - that 30 minute goal is almost in sight.

OU course officially starts today, although I've had the books for a few weeks, so will crack on with some of that.

House cleaning wouldn't go amiss.

Sunday dinner tomorrow, and maybe a bike ride if the weather's OK.
