BBC News - Ancient fragment makes reference to the 'wife of Jesus'

An ancient scrap of papyrus makes explicit reference to Jesus having a wife, according to a renowned expert in Christian history.

I find this quote funny:

A statement on a papyrus fragment isn't proof of anything

Couldn't that be said about the bible in general?!
