Dep sea fishing in Cape Verde

we looked at Cape Verde but its not a place to go out in the evening and there only looked a couple of nice places to stay.

I once went mackerel fishing in Swanage bay. Does that count?

No, but went Marlin fishing in Senegal a few years back. Just turned up, found someone with a boat and haggled to get a decent price. Was a little hairy though as once we were a few miles out, he proceeded to get completely wrecked & no longer seemed in control of his faculties

Fortunately he remained in control of the boat...

I believe Cape Verde islands are just off the coast of there somewhere.
