The poshness is neither here nor there. Winston Churchill was "posh" and a public school boy.

It's the courage that is lacking. But then as Benjamin Disraeli said (and the quote is on that page), "You will find as you grow older that courage is the rarest of all qualities to be found in public men".

So the recession picks up speed.

Maggie would have had interests rates in double digits and we would have had a proper recession and be lean an mean and hungry by now. Instead we get much more of the same that got us here.

One of the "experts" in that link is blaming the fall in construction output on the weather. Sub zero temperatures I can understand, but a bit of rain?

i think it was more than just a bit of rain.. on the plus side travel companies would of been booming because of it.

Industrial output fell by 1.3%

Construction output fell by 5.2%.
