As for this particular advert, though, it's fairly common not to list rate on opening adverts, isn't it? Most agencies don't have a firm idea of the rate they'll need to pay contractors for a given gig, only an idea of what they hope to charge the client. They don't want to cut anyone out of the loop that may be of interest, or give anyone that has the skills but is naive about what they're worth any ideas about charging more for their services.

The requirement is for an experienced IT Security professional, with a demonstrable track-record devising strategy and executing security principles, processes, tools and solutions at an enterprise level. The is a Senior Manager level role and carries a high degree of influence, autonomy and ownership.
The successful candidate will combine deep security expertise with the communication and consulting skills to truly influence senior management and directors globally. You will have demonstrated this in a number of fast-paced, highly commercial settings.
ESSENTIAL skills and experience:
- Track record in IT Security Leadership and Architecture
- Specific expertise in Infrastructure Security at an enterprise level
- Deep knowledge of security best practice, data standards and technology risk
- Up to date IT security expertise (ie thinking around BYOD, Cloud etc.)
- Track record executing security strategy globally
