Thanks again for the info. The only line I’m interested in is:-

“UK government seems committed to a DAB, rather than DAB+ future and as a national digital radio switchover from FM to DAB is unlikely before 2015 at the earliest, any potential change to DAB+ looks to be even further off.”

I see the issue going with the DAB car radio is I’m stuffed when I drive into a ‘DABless’ zone, but with the ‘PURE Highway’ I can revert to the built-in ICE.

Buy a car radio with an aux socket? (I got three of these in mine and mrs cars - good for the money).

Has current car radio got an aux in socket? I got a small personal dab radio and use a 3.5 cable to conenct to aux in. works ok.

I don’t believe I have an ‘aux in’ socket…
Any other ideas?

if you already have good ICE.

Blaupunkt, Kenwood and Clarion models are reckoned to be the best. You can buy simple add on DAB radios from about £30 if you already have good ICE.

Edit:

The system Britain has gone down the road of adopting is the inferior DAB, when the reat of Europe is adopting the much better DAB+.

So you might want to look into that.
