I had a ding in a rear bumper a couple of inches wide and a quarter deep, the repair was perfect.

My only disappointment was that I would have liked him to also touch up several insignificant scratches elsewhere, but the business model is so much per ding, so he would have charged an unfeasible amount for each one.

Anyone used one of these? Got any particular recommendations or horror stories.

I've used them for a plastic bumper repair on the Mrs' car, not a bad job wasnt that bothered as it gets pranged on a weekly basis. While you cant see the plastic repair, where they fall down is on the paint finish, they tend to use an artists airbrush rather than the proper paintshop kit. If you want a really good job I'd go to a proper body shop.

Take it to a professional "car detailer" first (and I mean professional!).

Despite it being a nasty scratch, you'd be surprised what a proper detailer can do.

Some of these ding repairs leave a lot to be desired IME.
