New contract: project check-list
Have a 4 month PM role to nurse a struggling small project to go-live. Check-list:
Project board - kind of but no Senior Responsible Owner
Project team - sub-set of project board
Business Case - last looked at 2 years ago
PID - yes
Plan - not as we know it
Planned project timescale - 4 months from procurement to go-live
Project time elapsed so far - 2 years
Project time to go-live - 2 months
Requirements - needs to do the same as current system and some other stuff
Design documentation - emails between individual members of operational team and supplier
Testing resources - none
Project support - none
Workflow / process documentation - none, we don't need it. Oh hang on, yes we do.
Resources to produce workflow / process documentation - none
Trainers - yes
Etc.
It's great. If it all goes wrong then I've done my best to manage the risks and report etc. If it goes well (and it looks as if it might) I'm a frackin' genius.Tags: None
