I see that another installment of the original reality show is due to be aired between 13 & 15 May.
Every 7 years, starting in 1964 when the participants were 7, the programme catches up on the lives of 14 people from very different backgrounds and compares and contrasts their situations with their hopes and aspirations of their younger selves.
I seem to recall there was a young lad who wanted to be an astronaut but ended up struggling with depression and suicidal tendencies for his whole life. Very sad.
Still, must be one hell of an intrusion having the cameras turned on you every 7 years.
