    Every valve amp I've had I've modded in some way even the Marshall's. Valves and components replaced, better shielded cabling or moving the reverb spring unit away from the amp circuitry as well as replacing the speaker. Not difficult to build an amp from scratch.

    I just heard on another website. He was a great.
