There was me smugly thinking I'd be unaffected by all this Olympic nonsense, as my contract out of London runs until July.

But when is it actually all over?

I'd block out five week from the 27th July to the 9th September - so it's just over five weeks in total including the two week gap between the two olympics.

I'm having 3 weeks off. Commuting will be a nightmare so I'm not doing it.

The contracts I am looking at now, assuming 6 months in duration, would take me into the Olympics timeframe, has anyone considered how the olympics would effect contractors? Especially in terms of accommodation?

Mentioned in a nother thread that I tend to be early-ish, leave home 7 ish, in office by 7:45.

Perhaps WFH, with laptop and a deck chair in the glorious sun, with a glass of Pimms and cucumber sandwiches, if the transport does get unbearable.

Have a spare room going at £600 per week if anyone is interested.

Yep. There will be temporary campsites for the duration of the games with all the mod cons (showers, bars, tv etc.)
