Amazon.de cheaper?

I'm seeing comments posted in Amazon that the German Amazon site is cheaper than .UK. Anyone any experience of this or have any witty comments to make?

E.g.

Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 16GB Sim Free Mobile Phone: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics = £479

Amazon.de: Samsung Galaxy Note €513 = £430

Allegedly there was £100 price difference for this model at one point.
