Introducing the 'Human Rights' Act was one of the first priorities of this now discredited Gov't, so scrapping it should equally be an election pledge and a top priority for the Conservatives. As with everything else, it all boils down to money as far as the Blairs are concerned. Tony set up Cherie nicely with all the asylum and 'human rights' legislation and she responded by starting a specialist legal department in her law firm to deal with those. Cherie is allegedly pocketing over a million quid a year to defend illegal asylum seekers, islamic preachers and covered-up Muslim schoolgirls that had seen their 'human rights' violated in this country as well as expanding abroad by giving lectures for charities (and getting paid for - charity begins at home) and defending the 'human rights' of purchasers of stolen property in the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus. You have to appreciate that the Blairs have 3 mortgages to pay : their mansion in Mayfair as well as the 2 flats in Bristol, so Tony's meagre salary is not enough. God help us if she ever gets to be a judge, like she's dreaming of. I would go as far as proposing that the next Gov't replaces all the existing judiciary (responsible for the Afghan hijackers fiasco and all the reversals of any sensible decisions by the Home Office) by a Supreme Court with lifetime judges based on their hardline views. Just an idea.

Cameron was endorsed by Kenneth Clarke. That tells you all you need to know about the Europhiliac wet. On anything connected with the EU, which these days is practically everything and includes the Human Rights Act, I wouldn't trust him further than I could thow a wren's feather.Originally posted by DimPrawnhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4765861.stm

Human Rights act is a deadly one. Sooner we get rid of it, the sooner we start dealing with immigrants like the aussies do.

His comments follow a court decision to allow nine Afghans who hijacked a plane to Britain to claim asylum in the UK.
Sense at last.
