Most of the 'Intercity' routes have wi-fi on it.

It's usually faster than a 3G dongle because they multiplex channels together from a number of different mobile phone providers.

They did, for a spell, offer it free in scumclass - that really brought the thing to it's knees. Luckily they see sense now.

If you have an android phone you can usually use it as a portable hotspot. There are also things like the 3 MiFi.

WiFi on Trains?

Can you get it over here?

Thinking about FGW services in particular.

Will influence whether or not I purchase a 3G tablet.

The Asus Prime does not and will not have 3G
