As the years go by, fewer and fewer qualify for the ancestry visa.

In response to the UK public's dislike of seeing the country flooded with immigrants it is now harder for the ones from Australia and New Zealand without a British grandparent to get in.

Despite the fact that they speak English as a first language and fit into the culture seamlessly.

She urged would-be migrants to act quickly even if they do not plan to move soon, adding: “Once the visa is granted, applicants have a five-year window to relocate, so it's worth submitting the application now, even if you're not planning the move just yet.”
The Aussies are just trying to take your money off you at a time when Brits are looking for ways to escape the depression in the UK. It costs about two thousand pounds to get that permanent residency visa.

The exchange rate is very bad for you to come here from the UK now. Also, there are a lot of job losses here at the minute, especially in banking. Most Brits that come here end up going back. Why bother wasting 5 years of your life? Stay there, the last thing we need here is more Brits.

Does Oz have anything similar to the $500,000 EB5 visa for the States?

It's too late by the time we get our grubby hands on the new notes anyway, they've already lost their value. Merv has already spent them.
