No it doesn't, it's weaker.

You can get extra-fermented super-duper strength marmite these days, just the thing for a jaded palate.

I had some sort of 'black label' marmite recently, to be honest, I could tell it apart from the normal stuff, certainly not worth the extra cost.

Actually had some Marmite chocolate the other day, very subtle taste and didn't kill the chocolate, not bad at all.
