I quite agree. The trendy well off middle class intellectuals who go to Brick Lane for a curry do not lose from immigrants competing for jobs and housing.

Sad to report that my ward as usual returned three up their own arse dickheads, the self-styled "Independent Residents Association" (independent in as much as they rarely turn up to council meetings and when they do they vote Labour). Still, it went from Labour control to no overall control with Tories having the highest number of seats so not all is lost. Just infuriating that were it not for those "independents" it would have been a firm Tory gain for the first time in 16 years.

I am very well thanks, just keeping the guilt ridden socialists in their place as usual I am indeed trawling North America for some engineers and have a few interviews on the go. It does take a long time though and it is also a fiddly process. However if we can get it right it will be a case of "this time next year Alf boy we'll be millionaires"

hardship? share? As in "Hi we're british, is this India? Can we share it with you?" Amazing how it all boils down to immigration. How would we get around London without immigrants? The locals don't seem interested in driving buses..they'd rather play lotto and move to Spain should they win.

Message hopefully received. But it is a dangerous course to take. The BNP must be appealing more and more to voters as they have grown from a regional party to a national one. I suspect many of those who voted for them yesterday may continue to vote in following elections - as they grow some fondness for their "policies".

People are not voting for BNP because of their policies, they are voting for them to send a message to labour. Labour are totally incompetent and they have ignored their grass roots supporters in order to gain favour with the rich and powerful.. Prescott is the embodiment of a socialist who gives not a jot for the people he pretends to represent, he is a fat chippy little prat who is drunk on power.

The difference between the Tories and the socialists is that the Tories have traditionally espoused the virtues of self interest. The socialists on the other hand call this selfish whilst at the same time pursuing their own path to power and riches.

Should be a piece of cake for someone who knows why people vote the way they do.

In other words, how do you know it's a protest vote for the BNP? Because Tony says it is? Because the BBC says it is? Because we wouldn't like to think that (gulp) there might be some increasing racism in the country - surely not?
