It seems that most companies only offer 24 month deals that's a longtime to be tied in for, especially when no-one really reads all the T&C's these days

I fail to see where I was whining about it - I'm, aware that they are increasing the bill, I have not complained to them but obviously I'm not happy to have my tarrif increased given that I only took the second handset in March. I shall simply look elsewhere at renewal time and hope that all the other providers don't take the same route to boosting their profits that Orange have. I will obviously be telling them why I'm changing provider. Not whining in the slightest as far as I'm concerned.

No, I just don't have any friends to call or text so why waste money on contract?

I got a text in 1st Dec saying there was going to be a 4.34% increase, then this Monday another text saying it was all a mistake, sorry for any confusion and there isn't any increase after all....

Me neither, infact while they were generally pretty useless I did get some hefty refunds out of them over the years I was with them but reception... I only left 3 because their reception was just soooo bad where I work. Also the 3 phone we got for our son while he was away at school got a pretty terrible reception also - fine at home but he's away more than he is at home! If they fixed their network I'd be back like a shot. Their unlimited data is handy simply because you know you won't get charged extra. None of the others offer that.....just a shame you can't get a reception to get the unlimited data!

Blatant profiteering that you realise is happening.

I'm willing to bet that you have been subject to blatant profiteering that you have been unaware of.
