"There is a fundamental concern that the content of such magazines normalises the treatment of women as sexual objects. We are not killjoys or prudes who think that there should be no sexual information and media for young people. But are teenage boys and young men best prepared for fulfilling love and sex when they normalise views about women that are disturbingly close to those mirrored in the language of sexual offenders?"
So are we supposed to ban porn or something?

I mean, if that spotty geek from the end of the street burst into your kitchen, bent you over the table and slipped you one, you would want him hanged. and rightly so
but if it was George Clooney, you would probbly offer him a Nespresso Coffee so he could keep his strength up
and thats half the problem. Spotty geeks the world over think they are G Clooney

What is scary is that people want to buy it. And the free market, of course.

we all agree that mugging old women is wrong.
I have NEVER heard of an old woman who said 'actually I quite like it. I even fantasise about it'
but when it comes to females, I know from personal experience that some have some very unusual ideas
e.g.
"Girls love being tied up . . . it gives them the chance to be the helpless victim."
I'm sure most people have done this. Presented as: "It's fine to act out fantasies in the bedroom if you both want to" is good. Stating blankly that girls want to be helpless victims is dangerous. But, as said, the quotes are taken out of their context, so it's possible that the article did give a more balance.
