Depends on which part of Glasgow, new builds etc will probably have dropped, but sought after areas such as the West End have increased.

Can imagine the south side remains popular, pollokshields and the like.

Id this wishful thinking - I recently read that prices in Glasgow have fallen 10 per cent this year.

On the other hand I do own a wee hoos near Glasgow - hope you are right ...

I visted Glen Coe in the autumn. Very nice place - would be good to have a holiday chalet there.

The pace of house price falls in England and Wales picked up in October, down 3.2% on a year ago, according to the Land Registry.

House prices in Scotland rose for the first time this year in the three months to October, according to a survey.

The latest Scottish House Price Monitor from Lloyds TSB found a 1.7% rise between August and October.

But over the year as a whole, the report said property values had still fallen by 2.9%.

The average cost of a Scottish home was £155,805, which is 90% of the figure when prices peaked in 2008.

Edinburgh saw the biggest increase (3.1%) with a home typically costing £179,912, while prices in Aberdeen also increased (2.7%).
