    I notice that this image and variants of it have been much used in recent media coverage of the EU negotiations with China over the bailout fund.



    Looks like they were made for each other; the EU flag and the military garb of a totalitarian state.

    Its use by certain more anti - EU publications certainly helps to reinforce the widely held view that the EU is a fledgling dictatorship itself.

    Quite clever and quite subtle.
