That's nothing compared to what the Catholic Church made me do when I became a godfather. Renounce Satan? And all his works? Believe in the something, the thingy and the holy whatsit? I just smiled and lied through my teeth
I'll have you know, I'm a fully paid up member of this stinking country with a passport to prove it. I did have to swear allegiance to the Queen (which was interesting!) but I don't have to give up my Irish passport
Why did you bother? Purely out of interest, I find it intriguing that people would do that for purposes other than getting a work visa.
And those that will be sponging off the state in the near future.
