Why a couple of months? I don't know if we will hit a bottom in the housing market in the next few years or if inflation will keep prices as they are until wages catch up.

For wages to catch up with the average house price price of about £165K, and to fulfil the average-over-time P/E ratio of about 4, the average wage in the UK would have to be about £40K.
Don't see that happening anytime soon - in fact the headline median salary has fallen over the last 3 years.

House prices in the Uk are still in unreal boom territory, kept that way by unreal 0% interest rates, so people don't have to sell and test the market for what the property is really worth.
