Actually, rereading my post, I do come across a bit simples.

Who'd of thought you get on and off the train, and go backpacking on a backpacking holiday!

Villa holidays in Spain/Portugal/Italy are great.

Loads to see and do in Italy if you want that kind of historic tourism.

Morocco if you like to be robbed

Maldives if you are a true contractor and are looking for at least 5k to blow

Malaysia if you want to be surrounded by nice people and eat good food

Dubai if you want some hot weather, nice food and millions of indoor shopping centres

For me Europe is more or less the same everywhere you go - try somewhere else....

Nafplio's nice. It's where the better class of Athenians goes, assuming there still is one.

Hi - my family and I went to Corfu at near the end of kids school holidays. I'd been a few times before when I was far younger (16-17 yrs old) and I know things change .....

All I can say is Greece is on it's a..rse/skidrow. Place we stayed was nice, but outside the development - half the places were closed down/boarded up.

We went a few places around the Island - and that appeared to be the norm.

Sorry - might be not what you wanted to hear. If I were you - spend your money here. as Greece is going down the pan.

Saying that it could be an experience of a lifetime - sunning yourself while the Country tears itself apart.

The authentic Italian side of Greece really is lovely.
