I always ask for a second opinion, i worked support for multiple doctors surgeries and to be honest there are good ones but a lot more bad ones

I supported a surgery where the head doctor spent his Tuesday afternoons surfing porn, the most popular site was Asian Babes considering the rest of the doctors, nurses were young asians it seemed quite appropriate, this was brought to the attention of the powers that be on several occassions but nothing was ever done

another one had more IT books than i did, he spent more time worrying about his PC than he did about his patience

just because they spent 10 years studying the same subject does not mean there any better than the rest of us even if they think they are

Then change your GP! Most are very helpful and will listen.

After Shipman GPs get a 'grilling' once a year.

"So you are a GP?" "Yes"
"Do you want to ever kill old women?" "No"
"Well you are safe to pratice, see you next year"

I would say Doctors do far less damage than Surgeons

800 thousand a day is quite an incredible amount.

started a topic "Can You Trust Your Doctor?"

    "Can You Trust Your Doctor?"

Seemed to revolve around a couple of Doctors and as they say 800,000 people see a GP each day.
