Don't mind as long as electrodes and pliers are involved.

No doubt she took that to mean the evil spirits were fighting to get out.

If this is actually what has happened then the defence argument should be taken to it's logical conclusion, i.e. until someone understands basic priniciples of human rights (and that's not to say that those who do still don't sometimes abuse them), then there should be restrictions on them residing in the country...

What's the difference between her religious beliefs and Chico's?
    Not much.

Actually I reckon this is a straightforward child-battering case, which some clever lawyer has fixed to match the current PC zeitgeist.

I think we need to get back to the original meaning of "barbarian", i.e. anyone who couldn't speek Greek.
Doesn't mean people who don't go to the Barbers then?

This crazy judgement will never survive an appeal. Hopefully. Alternatively, anyone who criticises this woman's religious belief that shaking a baby violently is the way to go on casting out evil spirits will be prosecuted as inciting religious hatred.

I remember a lot about burning, but I don't think that is the cure but what will happen to the 'bad' jinn. (The 'good' jinn get fresh water.)
