A number of unis should go bust... they are polytechnics rebadged to teach cookery and political indoctrination.

There was a town in the American Midwest that franchised its speed camera operation. A local business man got to keep 50% of all the fines for his catches.Originally posted by DimPrawnPrivate speed cameras.
Speed cameras on through roads are beloved of highly local democracies even more than our centralised one. If most of the "contributors" are not local voters, it's revenue without electoral pain. Or taxation without representation, as they used to call it when they were on the other side of it.

They pay cash - and lots of it. A number of Unis would go totally bust without foreigner students - say in time when I studied annual payment was something like £6k, plus majority of foreign students will get place on campus where Uni can rip them off as rent rates are much higher than can be had in private sector, but foreigners don't know that and many would never will.Originally posted by mcquiggdhe wants 870,000 to come here each year to study.

Nah, set up an online 'university' offering dodgy degrees. At least it might stop Tony from swamping the country with yet more foreigners... he wants 870,000 to come here each year to study.
Great. Train the competition while our own students end up in debt and with even less chance of a job as he's turned the education system into a combined ministry of propaganda and cash cow.
Fecking useless.

Private speed cameras. Or perhaps investors could buy shares in public speed cameras.
I think the government should consider this a part of a public private finance initiative.
You know it makes sense.Tags: None
