Previously on "Great Britain is causing the biggest problem."
Point taken but Wales, what does that give us? The Welsh, not a great commodity really, close harmony with a strange voice applicable to miners, rugby players and that burd who likes to sing about kkkkrrrrooodga rrraaagge and the punter who chucked himself off a bridge.
Leeks, dragons, sheep and fanny. Some people get the last two confused.

Go and visit East Germany before you spout your garbage here. Moron.
Anyone want to quote me, ta!
Not sure how that helps your case. Germany as a whole has less income inequality than the UK, at least based on things like HDI or gini coefficient, despite the fact that the east is relatively much poorer.
I would argue it is centralised London government that is shattering the union, not the members. Even England seems somewhat divided with the folks in the north (Manchester and the like) feeling ever excluded from those in the south.
To me a union suggests equality. The UK has some of the largest gaps between rich and poor across the entire continent. For me distribution of wealth is driving the union apart. People wonder why parties SNP and the like get such support?
If we want a stronger union make it so and stop supporting policies that keeps wealth inside the M25.

This is all based on the assumption that the EU is a benign and desirable institution. It is assumed that this corrupt undemocratic monolithic political state enjoys a sacrosanct existence. It does'nt and guess what it would not make the blinding bit of difference if it were disbanded tomorrow. the EU is nothing more than a gravy train for politicians who want nothing more than to exert control and fill their own troughs.
Actually I think you've just described all legislative bodies and (nearly) all politicians there
