 Vibration theory is a pretty complicated business but not at that level. They are hiring someone to stick a vibrometer on some steel and whack it with a hammer. A technology & management degree level but not a BEng role.

 Not for those without a degree - JOTDDear x
 I am recruiting for a Test Engineer (xxxxx) for a major automotive client in Essex. This is a contract role paying a limited company rate of £15.46 per hour and expected duration is 4 months, with potential for extension for a further year.
 
 Skills Preferred:
 Understanding of control theory and vibration theory
 
 Experience Required:
 Experience of test rig design. Experience of conducting durability tests using servo-hydraulics.
 
 Experience Preferred:
 Experience using MTS RPC and IST RS series software (these are software packages that are used to run test rigs built by MTS Systems Corp and Instron Structural Testing Systems (IST)). Experience writing Excel macros.
 
 Education Required:
 Engineering Degree, MS Office (min Word & Excel) & Report Writing.Tags: None
