A tad unconverntional - but even if the weather isnt good theres plenty to do underground -
A former secret nuclear missile base in Ukraine has been turned into a museum.
The base was once a hub for the Soviet Union's most advanced nuclear missiles and military technology.
Visitors can explore the only existing silo in Ukraine and a command post hidden 40m underground designed to withstand a nuclear strike.

I also swam across Loch Long when I was 12 because it was too far to walk round the top via Arrochar to the Ardgarten camping site.
