Thanks to those of you who gave me recommendations for Friday night's witching trip.

Couldn't get to the derelict farmhouse - too dangerous, we were told.

Spent the evening in the Hare and Hounds in Foulbridge being regaled with spooky stories from some of the locals.

Highlight was the one about the prank a local farmer played on 2 local boys 40 years ago. He knew the lads used to go to the old farmhouse to play so one day he hid inside dressed in a white sheet.

As soon as they entered the house, he leaped out with a blood curling shriek and scared the living daylughts out of the 2 boys.

So much so that they've both been housed in a mental institution ever since
