This is true. The one I've got has fallen apart after only seven years.

Does this work as a marketing promotion?

Popped into Halfords to pick up a new rack box for my bike. £24.99. Noticed that they had '3 for 2' on bike accessories. Wandered about a bit, but couldn't find two other things I wanted, so ended up buying nothing. Of course I should have just bought the one thing I wanted, but the Scot in me felt like I was missing out on a bargain.

I'm sure this isn't the first time I haven't bought stuff because I couldn't make use of the promotion. I can't be the only one.
