As a dutiful UKIP member I'm off to hear Nigel Farage speak in Eastleigh this evening as it's just down the road from me (and I got sent free tickets).
I'm nearly 50 and have never been to a political meeting before. Anyone care to offer their experiences?
What you can expect is exactly the same as many other politicians can offer you;
- somebody else is to blame for all your troubles (e.g. EU, illegal immigrants, mooslims, 'the left', 'the rich' etc)
- I have the solution to all of these problems, so vote for me!
- inevitable disappointment when said politician later turns out to be at best a charlatan or at worst a criminal
