When I sign up to most sites I use their name in my email address amazon@mydomain, contractoruk@mydomain, midgetpornstars@mydomain etc) so I can track who passes on my addresses, but all agents have the same address thats on my CV so I don't know which it is this time
-
All the jobsites now have little tick boxes asking whether you "allow them to give your details to carefully selected companies. "
Some of the agencies do as well.
However if you suspect that an agency that doesn't have this is selling your email address you can threaten to cause them a load of trouble.

I am sure this won't come as a surprise to most but it seems those nice people helping us find gigs are now selling our email addresses to all and sundry, I like I would assume many of us on here have amail address they use just for finding the next gig, so I was surprised when this morning I got an email from Confused.com offering me insurance, now here's the kicker; to cancel the emails I have to log into my account and change the settings, however as I never signed up how can I do this!
I suspect this is the big sites like jobserve or cwjobs, but I am blaming all pimps equallyTags: None
