Milan - I fear that you are more concerned with your missing euros than the plight of poor Arkwright.

Sounds like your aspirations of purchasing Thai tat furniture have suffered another setback and you'll have to make do with the salvaged pallets as a table for another year or two. Don't let it get to you though old boy - there's more to life than money. Perhaps you will soon be able to send the new sprog down the mines.

at some stage, the 100% rise in the price of oil is going to have a downstream effect on the disposable cash in people's pockets

2 years ago I paid .73 Euro a litre for diesel, now I pay 1.03 Euro a litre !

On a 60 litre tank filling up once a week that's 80 Euros a month missing from my pocket compared to two years ago

June is always quiet as people stay indoors planning their holidays in July. Then July and August are quiet because everybody is in holiday, then September is quiet because eveybody has spent all their money on a holiday. October and November are quiet because everybody is saving up Christmas, and then December is quiet because of recession caused by consumers not spending for 5 months. :\
