Two months in at the new contract, finding my way round the product (it's not small) that the team has been developing for the last 1-2 years. My task, after some initialisation tasks to get me familiar with their processes is to find the source of the bugs in the work done so far as the product resets every now and again for some unknown reason and has done for some time . Now go hunt down them bugs in the hundred to two hundred modules, including seven closed loop control loops, safety features integrated by a third party and very little documentation.

Is that the tulipty stick i've been handed?

Not that I care becuase the invoicing is making me happy. Maybe the next one will be the technical expert role, as opposed to the sorting out tulip role.

Anyone else currently carrying the tulipty stick?
