chmod is your friend.

Did that.... rwxr--r-- , running it under the id that created it.

I'll give you an example why I hate computers so much. I'm trying to run a script on a Linux server, I can see the script when I list the directory. I run "./scriptname.ksh" and it says it can't find the script. I can see it, right in front of me! FFS!

Probably not the most sensible place to admit this, but I'm going to.

I absolutely loathe all technology. Hate it. Hate computers, mobile phones, TVs, cars, basically anything that has a chip in it.

My main pet hate is computers, which is a bit of a problem as I use them every day. I just hate the way they don't do what you want them to, they're inconsistent, go wrong, and even the fact that when you turn one off it doesn't turn off immediately, sometimes they can take minutes to turn off.



What can I do? If I had a time machine I'd go back to the mid 1800s to live. But then I'd probably hate the time machine as well.

Thank God for that, I thought I was the only one. Computers really pi$$ me off, but even worse than computers are "users". Brain-dead, lying, "someone-wipe-my-ar$e", scumbags, the lot of them.
