Buy a £4K Mondeo or similar.

Buy gold bullion (see my sig ) with the other £35K NOW.

    Wait 12 months.

Sell bullion for sterling and buy a brand new Aston Martin, deposit on a house and tickets for a 1st class cruise round the world for you and all your extended family. Spend the rest how you like.

'That' should perhaps read 'This'... meaning the above photo of the Pininfarina Alfa concept. Or the Pininfarina Maserati TL posted.

I'm sure that looks like an Alfa Romeo badge rather than a Maserati...

I should know as I have to look at one every fooking morning, and wonder why I bought one...

Yeah I sort of agree too. It could easily have ended the same way from something accidental than some twat doing daft manouvers.

The thing that put me off getting a bike was I just knew I'd not be able to restrain myself enough. Even in a car it is hard to crawl around a blind bend at a safe speed when you think how much viewing distance you have and that a safe speed would probably be under 30mph and maybe a lot less if it's a tight bend.

Every time I come to a blind bend I half expect there to be a cyclist, horse and rider, or twat on the wrong side of the road. Usually the worst thing you find is a pheasant or other dumb animal waiting to become roadkill, but sometimes people get unlucky.

Running a 2005 Aston is going to be excruciatingly expensive. Have you seen the price of Aston Martin parts and labour?

And the depreciation of the DB9?

Better to join a supercar club with the money you'll spend.

Yeah, he also nearly won a part in the 'reimagining' of The Headless Horseman, but was beaten by Nicolas 'My Eyes' Cage who is cleaning up in the piss poor films sector.

I'm sure you're right but IMO they still look way cooler than any modern car you can buy today.

It takes a certain amount of faith and devotion to own an Italian classic. I couldn't, hats off to those that do!

I remember a 1970s interview with a Lamborghini owner. Although very proud of his car, he said he always took enough money with him to get a taxi to his destination.
