I think EU regulations on mail order are that by law you have a 14 days cooling off period. Most companies do not like to let you know about this though. However, taking the wraps off i.e. opening the packaging, might invalidate that right.

Basically you have 7 working days if you decide you don't like it you can return it.

There should be info about it on dells website. Otherwise google is your friend.

If it was a business sale they might not apply. But if you paid by a personal CC that could make a difference.

The spec lists Vodafone 3G cards as compliant.... indeed it is advertised with one in the adapter.

Ok my fault I should have checked but I honestly thought that all laptops have at least a couple of pcmcia slots.

New Dell laptop uses an Express Card slot that looks the same as a pcmcia slot but ISN'T!

I'm now snookered because I need to connect my Vodafone 3G card and can't so the laptop is useless to me unless anyone knows a work around this?

Can't you get pcmcia to USB 2 adapters? Haven't a clue if you can, so it isn't a rhetorical question.

Hi Milan, I've been back in the UK since November and I'm about to start a 12 month contract in London week after next.

I don't think Vodafone do a 3G express card??

Villa is fine, we're renting it to someone who is waiting for their villa to be built.
