Have you ever/how many times been escorted off premises?

Really just the once, a few years back. Worked for a Whitehall client for two days. The client decided he wanted some totty in the office rather than some hippie techie sort. The manager watched me as I cleared my desk and escorted me out; he seemed paranoid that I’d steal something if left alone.

Once, some 19 years ago, when a government funded project I was working on had the rug pulled from underneath it. All contractors were called into an office where there were about 6 security guys.

We were escorted one by one back to our desk to remove our personal belongings and then taken to our manager to get our timesheet signed until the end of the day (nice touch ) and then off the premises.

For some reason they seemed paranoid that we were going to cause a riot or something.

Just the once when threaded sacked me for photocopying the blueprints of his temporal flux inverter.

None for me, Mordy is up to 12 I think.

Just once, when I was a permie.

Saw some information that affected me and a member of my family, felt it would be better in the public domain.

Won't go into too many details, but ultimately resulted in a few stories in the national newspapers.

That's my 15 minutes of fame used up.

To start off, I was once in a contract that had 2 weeks left to expire, was going nowhere and there was no offer of extension. I thought why not ask for a fortnight's holiday ? (to be honest, I had another contract lined up)
Turns out that the client (consultancy) was hell-bent on squeezing the last drop of the fees and wanted bums on seats to maximize their profits.
Didn't take kindly to it and was told I was of no further use, so could I go immediately. Was happy to oblige.
Escorted off with a handshake from the line manager.
To be honest, I have seen a lot worse.
