I love the way the dumbos who can't be arsed to google themselves get all offended whenever anyone suggests that they might just glance first before coming on and asking everybody else to do their research for them! Like as if it's everybody else that has a bad attitude....

FFS ever heard of Google. Does anybody do their own research before asking dumb questions?

I think this one has been done before. My understanding was:

    1. Unlike Britain, you can't just walk in and get a job. You need a work permit. The US government doesn't hand them out to all and sundry.

    2. To get a work permit you need a job offer, which you won't get easily without a work permit.

    3. Contracting is very different in the US.

Apart from that it's a piece of piss.

    Accross the Pond

    Morning all.

It's been a long time since my last post on here.

I'm after your collected experience and advise.

I'm looking and getting my next contract in the USA. I'm a Tester with experience of all development life cycle.

I was wondering if anyone has done a contract in USA where are the best places how does payment work (e.g do you have to have USA bank account pay their tax and ours e.t.c.) how does interviewing work and can you recommend any good agencies of websites (like jobserve) that specialise in IT contracts.

    Thanks

Working...
