    One other good thing about the lack of housing boom-bust cycles in Germany is that it helps keep wage growth under control. If people know that they can afford the rent/mortgage on a decent place to live, they don't need to go chasing higher and higher salaries to maintain a good standard of living and quality of life, so you don't get wage-price inflation.
