    its always seemed to be grads at the places I've worked doing the majority of the auditing work and assumed it was like a pre-accountancy role proving ground for those recently qualified but with no experience - but perhaps I'm wrong and accountants are failed auditors like HR bods are failed agents

    Strangely enough, on a course about 5 years ago I bumped into an auditor I knew from my second computer job back in the 1970s. We were both juniors then.

    He had more hair back then; thin on the top last time I saw him.
