I think the only British TV programmes I've made an effort to catch in the last year are Misfits and Not Going Out. Most of the others have either been dross from the start (the recent Dr Who stuff, Merlin, Robin Hood, all basically kids TV in quality and tone) or have descended into dross in recent times (Spooks comes to mind).
Peep show is still worth watching
    Rev was very funny
    Top gear keeps me entertained
as does Charlie Brooker and Attenborough is still making TV

or were you just referring to dramas?

So if I want to watch fictional TV it's now usually USA stuff. Dexter, House, Breaking Bad, and countless other shows that prove just how good TV can still be with the right talent and a decent budget.

Currently addicted (and I mean addicted which is very rare for me) to Chuck. Only stumbled across it a few weeks ago but have watched most of the first 3 seasons in that time. Tremendous stuff. The pacing of each episode is superb, along with the writing, acting, and production.

Sadly can't say the same for most British TV, but then the TV licence is optional.

I agree with your point that it was a bit all over the place. Here's two characters. Oh. We've killed them.
