The only thing in Harrogate is the Conference Centre.

Are you sure? I did consider suggestingOriginally posted by Sands of Time View PostLike your style plus Ghost walk and river cruise...
- Blue Badge Guide tour;
- open top bus tour;
- Yorkboat cruise
but it is January. York is a cold city at the best of times; I would not recommend the above unless you are proper hardy and dressed for it.
You could use those activities as an excuse to go again later in the year when it is not a school night: you could then include the theatre.

Go to The Brass Cat in Halifax and take in the smell of the locals while trying not to get your pocket picked.
Follow that up with a meal from one of the numerous pretend KFC type establishments offering chicken lips/arse/balls for 50p
Then, after you've chucked up, go home for a really hot shower.

Fairly close to East Leeds (within 45mins)
A Sunday trip out.
Extra points for 'memorable'... NOT food related.
