Irrespective of his views, the guy does at least honour is word and provides a reasoned argument - not all incumbants in Westminster can say that!! Either way, democracy is at risk if someone disagrees with a comment and you kick them out of office.
Fine him £1000 if people need to be so PC but dont remove him from office! This PC b*llsh1t has gone mad!!
He used an analogy which admittedly was in bad taste, but if he had said the same thing to me (or anyone else non Jewish) would there have still been the uproar??
As for an apology, why should he apologise for offending someone who was being a complete pr1ck to him??
Gotta give it to him though, by the time this gets through and he has lost all his appeals (all the way to the lords) he will have been voted out of office anyway
Ken might be onto something there: how do we know they are impartial? Should it not be up to the public to decide who is impartial and who isn't? There should be some sort of vote to see who the public thinks is the most impartial.
You think we should have this country ruled by committee? Farken hell, even less would get done!

"Who are our members?
The President and Members of the Adjudication Panel for England are appointed by the Lord Chancellor following consultation with the Deputy Prime Minister. "
A president, currently David Laverick, the pensions ombudsman, is in charge and heads up a team of 11 other legal members and 21 lay people.
How ironic that it is a Labour-appointed panel....

All he had to do was say sorry to the reporter...but no...instead he harped on about the newspaper...then he harped on about how this board (who ARE impartial because they ARENT political appointees) can kick him out of office and now he's going on about how his human rights have been infringed!
Before I continue, let me explain that I can't stand Ken.
However, in this case, he is right. There is no way that an elected mayor should be ousted by an unelected quango. No matter how much of a tosser the elected mayor is.
The Jewish League has proven that they are the most important political force, (or should that be farce), in British politics, and as such, Ken is no more. I personally wanted him to be removed by the electoral process, but the Jewish League has stopped that.
I come to ask myself now, (which I wouldn't have before this farce), if maybe the Muslim minority who are demanding blood as a result of another person demonstrating his freedom of speech in a nation supposedly allowing of such, are actually right. Why should the Danish cartoons be allowed to be repeated in a Nation that denies the freedom of a democratically elected leader to express his distain at a newspaper group that supported Hitler? Would the Jewish League be so quick to denounce the freedom of speech of Ken, if he had happened to denounce a rabid BNP Nazi, as opposed to someone who happened to be a Jew working for a rabid BNP Nazi organisation?
Basically, it all stinks. The Jews have only increased anti semetism as a result of this.
Suspended for 4 weeks...pitty they didnt kick this mongrel out full stop!
Mailman
Suspended for four weeks. From which bridge? And can I take along some vinegar soaked sponges?
I think this whole mess is absurd. He was not being anti-semitic, merely being rude to a reporter from a paper that has harassed him.
I sounds to me like a case of some Jews crying wolf. Anyway, in this country there's little anti-semitism from mainstream culture. The abuse they get is from a small group of fanatics. As far as I can see most of us have a high regard for UK Jews. It's Muslims that have the problems with racism from all quarters. Now I wonder why. At least Jews only explode with rage.
As an aside, after the 7/7 attacks, I heard John Humphreys on R4 ask someone "what makes Muslims tick".
